Protecting Your System Anti-Virus Software Your best protection is to use a virus protection program such as Norton or McAfee AntiVirus and be sure to use live update. New viruses are developed daily. While the anti-virus software looks for programs that act like viruses, for the best protection you need to keep you virus library updated at least once per week. For these products you will need to purchase updates annually. There is also a free program available from AVG software from Grisoft. You can find it at AVG . Look for the AVG free version link. Note they will want to sell you their supported version. If you are new to computers, I do not recommend this for you as it is not as simple to use as the others.
