Using AOL 8.0 - Attaching a Photo

On Figure 2-18, the Attachments button is shown. Click on this button to add attachments such as digital photos to your E-mail. Figure
You will get a screen similar to that shown in Figure 2-22. Figure
Using the Find File Location feature, go to where you have stored the file you want to attach. Notice in this screen, the Details of the file are shown. You can turn this on by clicking on the Icon that is just to the left of the "2. Select File". It is important to know the file size. If the file is too large, AOL may reject the E-mail. If the AOL allows you to send it and you are on dial up connection, it will take a long time to send. A good size to E-mail is less than 150 KB. To see how to reduce the file size, see the section on handling digital pictures. Now click on the desired file to select it. Note in Figure 2-22, the file 1LionCut.jpg is selected. A preview of it is shown to the right of the file list. If this is the file you want, click on the Attach button.

You will then get the screen shown in Figure 2-23. Figure
Attaching a file (photo) in AOL is a two-step process. Now click on the Attach button and the file will be attached.Your E-mail should now look like Figure 2-24. Figure
