Using AOL 9.0

AOL 9.0 is very similar to 8.0. However, the appearance of the screens is different. Some of the differences are discussed in this section. However, you should read the sections on AOL 8.0 for more information on using AOL.

The AOL start up screen (Welcome Screen) is shown in Figure 2-32. The Read, Write and other E-mail tools are in the same location as with 8.0.Figure 2-32

In Figure 2-33 (the new E-mail screen), note that the term Attachments has been changed to Attach File.Figure

In Figure 2-34 (the new Address Book), the term Blind Copy has been changed to BCC. (The old typewriter based term for Blind Carbon Copy.) Figure

Figure 2-35 shows the revised Mail and Spam controls. There are a few changes from 8.0. If you find that E-mail from friends or companies that you want to receive is being blocked, you will need to go to this screen to change your controls on E-mail filtering.Figure
